In general, they are grouped under \u201c<em>Kollai Noikal<\/em>\u201d(Communicable Diseases) which crop up during \u201c<em>Ayana Santhi<\/em>\u201d months during <em>Adi<\/em> and <em>Margazhi <\/em>month in Tamil Calendar (July \u2013 December) as the immune system will be weakened during the period.<\/p>\n<p>Siddha literature have portrayed the notification, isolation, quarantine and disinfection for the management of communicable diseases. In Siddha System, the diseases result due to the derangement of <em>Mukkutram<\/em>. Usually, <em>Thottru Noigal<\/em> (communicable diseases) are associated with <em>Aiya kutram<\/em> (Respiratory related Illness). The Siddha classical text <em>Guru Naadi<\/em> has quoted that <em>Thottru Noigal<\/em> is generally caused by <em>Kirumi<\/em> (Pathogens).<\/p>\n<p>Siddha system of medicine has given promising effects during the current prevailing pandemic situation. The Siddha drug <em>Kaba Sura Kudineer<\/em> have played a vital role in the prevention and management of COVID -19 and also treating asymptomatic and mild cases.
