As part of the nation-wide \u2018Swachhatha Hi Seva 2023\u2019 Campaign of Govt. of India, the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), situated at Tambaram Sanatorium, will be carrying out a visible cleaning drive at the Tambaram Sanatorium Bus Stand on 1st October 2023 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

The Director, Faculty members, Senior Officers, Staff members and Students of NIS will take part in the programme. The event is carried out with the motto of \u201c1 Hour, 1 Day Voluntary Service for Cleanliness on 1st October 2023\u201d<\/strong> and to create awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene among the general public for a \u2018Garbage Free India\u201d. Any person\/s interested in this activity may also join the programme, informed Prof. (Dr.) R. Meenakumari, Director, NIS.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the Gandhi Jayanthi falling on 2nd October the Institute will also conduct a month-long campaign for cleaning, weeding out of files and e-files, condemnation of unusable items, creation of space, educating hygiene practices to patients and public etc., during October, said the Director.<\/p>\n
