Banumathi, Director, National Institute of Siddha, received the award from Shri Roshan Jaggi and Shri P. N. Ranjit Kumar, Joint Secretaries, Ministry of AYUSH, on 14 January 2019 at AYUSH Bhawan, New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award was presented in recognition of the activities conducted by NIS as part of <strong>Swachhta Pakhwada<\/strong> during October 2018. NIS observed Swachhta Pakhwada from 16 October 2018 to 30 October 2018 with various cleanliness and awareness activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The valedictory ceremony of Swachhta Pakhwada at NIS was held on 30 October 2018. Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan, Hon\u2019ble Minister of State for Finance and Shipping, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the Chief Guest address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of AYUSH recognised selected institutions for their performance during Swachhta Pakhwada 2018. The awardees included the Central Council for Research in Siddha, Chennai; Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory, Ghaziabad; and National Institute of Siddha, Chennai.
