Admission Process \u2013 Academic Year 2026\u201327<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. The Institute follows the curriculum, syllabus and academic standards prescribed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/ncismindia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the <strong>Academic Year 2026\u201327<\/strong>, the Institute is permitted to admit <strong>60 students<\/strong> (58 seats for Indian students + 02 seats for foreign students) to the <strong>Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (B.S.M.S.)<\/strong> programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility for Admission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Admission to the B.S.M.S. programme shall be based on the NEET (UG) 2026 score and shall be made in accordance with the eligibility criteria, reservation policy of the Government of India, and the applicable regulations\/guidelines issued by <a href=\"https:\/\/aaccc.gov.in\/ug-counselling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AACCC<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ncismindia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCISM<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tnmgrmu.ac.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates must satisfy all eligibility requirements prescribed for admission to the B.S.M.S. programme, including educational qualifications, NEET-UG eligibility and other conditions notified by the competent authorities from time to time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Admission through AACCC Counselling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Admission to all 60 B.S.M.S. seats at the National Institute of Siddha shall be made only through the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC), NCISM, Government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible NEET (UG) candidates seeking admission to B.S.M.S. at NIS shall:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Register online for AACCC-UG Counselling 2026\u201327 through the official AACCC portal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the prescribed registration and payment process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the online choice-filling and choice-locking process and select National Institute of Siddha, Chennai \u2013 B.S.M.S. as one of their preferred choices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain seat allotment through AACCC based on NEET-UG merit, applicable reservation policy, choices exercised and availability of seats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download the AACCC allotment\/admission letter and report to the National Institute of Siddha, Chennai, within the stipulated period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce all required original certificates\/documents for verification and complete the prescribed Institute and University admission formalities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay the applicable course fees and other prescribed fees to confirm admission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AACCC-UG counselling process generally includes <strong>Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round(s)<\/strong> as notified by AACCC. Candidates shall strictly follow the counselling schedule, reporting instructions and other directions issued by AACCC from time to time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> No direct admission to the B.S.M.S. programme shall be made by the National Institute of Siddha outside the counselling\/allotment process prescribed by AACCC.
