The 4th Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) committee meeting of NIS was conducted on 28.04.23 between 2.00 and 3.00 pm to implement NIS IPR policy. After concluding the meeting, an awareness talk was given by Mr. K.S. Hariprasad, Patent agent, CEO IP DOME on “Scope of IPR in traditional medicine research” between 3.30 pm and 5.00 pm
Prof. Dr. R. Meenakumari, Director, National Institute of Siddha presided over the function. Dr. A. Muthuvel welcomed the gathering. The Director NIS announced the implementation of IPR policy in NIS in her presidential address
The Director also announced “HACKATHON competition” for Siddha research scholars from various institutes/colleges. The objective of this competition is to invite patentable research proposals. She further stated that the eligible novel research proposals may be funded by this Institute after necessary approval.
