The Valedictory function of 5 days “Workshop on Basic Research Techniques and practices of Laboratory Animal Care” (from 30.08.2021 to 03.09.2021) organised by National Institute of Siddha held on 03.09.2021(Friday).
The program was begun with lighting of Lamp – Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries. The Director Prof. Dr.R. Meenakumari, National institute of Siddha delivered the presidential address.
The Superintendent of Thoracic Medicine, Tambaram Sanatorium Prof. Dr. R. Sridhar, has participated as Chief guest and delivered felicitation address, released the workshop manual and distributed the certificate to the trainees and resource person of the workshop.
Dr. B.R.Senthilkumar, Member Secretary, Institutional Animal Ethical Committee welcomed the gathering. The Animal facility (i/c) Dr.V. Suba has presented the workshop report. The Vetenarian Dr. Angayarkanni thanked the participants.
In this workshop, the participants were trained in basic research techniques and handling of laboratory animal to undertake preclinical research in Siddha medicine.
