National Institute of Siddha (NIS) and Central Council for Research in Siddha(CCRS) jointly organized an exhibition on Herbal plants and millets at NIS campus premises from 23/04/2023 to 25/04/2023 under the guidance of Prof. Dr. R. Meenakumari, Director, NIS and DG(Addl. charge) CCRS. The exhibition organized as part of the Year 2023 is being observed as International Year of Millets
Hon’ble Minister Shri. Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for AYUSH and Ports, Shipping and Waterways inaugurated the millets expo. The Minister visited all the stalls and interacted with exhibitors, PG scholars. The exhibition highlighted the importance of herbs and millets and its benefits for better health. The exhibition also showcased how to increase the intake of millets by preparing various recipes based on millets and herbs.
