National Institute of Siddha has participated in the National Arogya Fair 2022 held at the APS College grounds in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru from 27th to 31st July 2022. Dr. H. Nalini Sofia, Associate Professor, Dr. V. Srinivasan, Assistant Professor, Mrs. U. Neelapon, Office Superintendent (Academic) and PG Scholars from various departments were participated as exhibitors on behalf of NIS.
On July 31, 2022, Smt. Her Excellency Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Pondicherry paid a visit to the NIS stall. On July 28, 2022, Shri. Vaidya Jayant Deopujari, Chairman of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine also visited the stall.
The faculty members and PG Scholars of NIS honoured the visiting dignitaries. On all days, the general public and students from different schools and institutions visited the NIS stall. They evinced keen interest to learn about the Siddha System of Medicine.
