Ayothidoss Pandithar Hospital of the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai received the accreditation certificate from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).

The Institute was awarded the Certificate of NABH Accreditation by the Hon’ble Minister of AYUSH on 13.02.2019 at New Delhi.

Prof. Dr. V. Banumathi, Director, NIS, received the NABH accreditation certificate from Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi.

Prof. Dr. N. J. Muthukumar, Hospital Superintendent / Head, Department of Sirappu Maruthuvam, NIS, and Shri S. M. Murugan, Deputy Director, NIS, were also present on the occasion.

The accreditation marked an important milestone in the progress of Ayothidoss Pandithar Hospital, NIS, and reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to delivering quality Siddha healthcare services to the public. The hospital underwent the prescribed assessment process for obtaining the accreditation.

The 200-bedded hospital, supported by dedicated infrastructure, qualified doctors, teaching faculty, medical officers, staff nurses, postgraduate scholars, dispensary staff, administrative staff, hospital staff and support personnel, continues to provide specialised patient-care services through the Siddha system of medicine.

Prof. Dr. V. Banumathi expressed gratitude to Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of AYUSH; Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH; Shri P. N. Ranjit Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH; and the NABH assessors for their guidance, support and encouragement. The Director also appreciated the collective efforts of the Hospital Superintendent, Deputy Director (Administration), Senior Research Officer, teaching faculty, Deputy Medical Superintendent, postgraduate scholars, medical officers, nursing staff, dispensary staff, administrative staff, hospital staff, housekeeping personnel, outsourced staff and security staff for their contribution towards achieving NABH accreditation.
