The National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) on 31 January 2019.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. V. Banumathi, Director, National Institute of Siddha, and Dr. S. Bhuminathan, Registrar, BIHER, on behalf of the respective institutions.
The MoU aims to explore opportunities where the skills and expertise of both institutions can be beneficially combined in areas such as common research projects, training programmes, development of community-based healthcare interventions, workshops and student exchange programmes. The collaboration was intended to strengthen academic, research and community-oriented healthcare activities through institutional cooperation between NIS and BIHER.
