The National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai organised a Training-cum-Workshop on Social Media for Content Development — Level II for AYUSH professionals.
The valedictory function of the workshop was held at NIS. Shri P. N. Ranjit Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, delivered the Chief Guest address.
During the programme, Shri P. N. Ranjit Kumar also launched the Siddha-NIS Mobile App, developed by postgraduate scholars of NIS with technical support from C-DAC Vikaspedia, Hyderabad.
Prof. Dr. V. Banumathi, Director, National Institute of Siddha, delivered the keynote address.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by Dr. K. Suresh, Lecturer, NIS. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Gahala Javed, Research Officer (Unani), CCRUM, Coordinator, Informal Group of Social Media for AYUSH Professionals.
The training focused on enabling AYUSH professionals to effectively use social media for public outreach, content development, trust-building, engagement and dissemination of information on AYUSH systems of medicine. The programme formed part of NIS initiatives to strengthen digital communication and public awareness in the field of Siddha and AYUSH systems.
