National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) Organizing Regional Workshop on Competency Based Dynamic Curriculum (CBDC) for successful implementation of the New Syllabus Curriculum in all educational institutions. The workshop being conducted for Two days – 31.07.2026 to 01.08.2026 at National Institute of Siddha, Chennai campus.
The inauguration programme commenced with Invocation including Vande Mataram, Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, Siddhar Vanakkam & Lighting of Kuthu Vilakku.
Welcome Address was delivered by Prof. Dr. M. Meenatchi Sundaram Dean PG(i/c), National Institute of Siddha, Chennai
Introduction to UTKARSH was presented by Prof. Dr. S. Mathukumar Member, Board of Unani, Siddha and Sowa-Rigpa Studies, NCISM, New Delhi
Felicitation Address was given by Prof. Dr. N.J. Muthukumar, Director General, Central Council for Research in Siddha, Chennai
Presidential Address was delivered by Prof. Asim Ali Khan, President, Board of Unani, Siddha and Sowa-Rigpa, NCISM, Govt. of India
Chief Guest Address was delivered by Dr. Maneesha Upendra Kothekar Chairperson, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, Govt. of India
Vote of Thanks* was proposed by Prof. Dr. P. Arulmozhi, Dean UG (i/c), National Institute of Siddha, Chennai
Book Release: In this A CBDC based Textbook on “Conceptual Basis of Noi Naadal – A Practical Window” was released authored by Prof. Dr. S.K. Sasi and Prof. Dr. S. Elansekaran
The UTKARSH Inauguration Ceremony was conducted successfully with the full support of Prof. Dr. G. Senthilvel, Director, National Institute of Siddha, Chennai with the privilege as Host Institute of this Programme
The workshop aims to strengthen competency-based education and curriculum development for Siddha, Unani, and Sowa-Rigpa systems of medicine.
